Lou Bordisso, MA., M.Div., Ed.D.
Lou Bordisso is a former bishop within the Old Catholic faith tradition. Since retiring from public ministry and the Old Catholic movement in 2011, he has reconciled with the Roman Catholic Church. Although Bordisso is retired and not public ministry, he continues speaking at conferences, conventions, seminars, retreats, and workshops. Bordisso also provides pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, family and couples therapy, psychotherapy, and embodied spiritual bodywork for clergy and lay persons.
He has been licensed as a marriage and family therapist for over twenty-five years and is a trained bodyworker.
Bordisso was program host for the public and community access television and online broadcast "Political Inquisitions" which addresse
ds ethics, morality, spirituality, and politics interviewing political and community leaders about a variety of distinguished topics.
He holds a number of academic degrees, including, a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from the University of San Francisco (Doctoral Dissertation: "The Relationship between Moral Development and the Sexual Orientation of Roman Catholic Priests: Implications for Seminary Education"). His Masters of Divinity degree is from the Franciscan School of Theology at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. Bordisso also holds a Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of San Francisco. His Bachelor of Arts degree is in Social Welfare from California State University, Sacramento.
